Bang & Olufsen has long been the creator of the highest level of audio and video systems available. The imperial company utilizes innovation and design to ensure that their technology best serves the needs of its many users. In simpler terms, they provide kickin’ sound and video for almost every environment out there.

Up until now, their amazing audio and visual developments have been confined to the land. But the winds of change are blowing in off the waters: with the luxury yacht dubbed ‘Perfect Harmony,’ a 101-foot masterpiece by KaiserWerft, the illustrious company finally moves their abilities out to sea.

It is a move that the yachting world has been anticipating. The market for onboard installations for quality entertainment solutions for luxury yachts has experienced substantial growth in recent years. And with the sometimes enormous cost attributed with buying and maintaining quality boats, it seems a shame that some chose to use a less superior sound system than those available through Bang & Olufsen. “Considering the huge costs involved in the luxury yacht market, it is amazing how little customers spend on their onboard entertainment systems, and how little consideration they give to the total entertainment experience, often buying a pre-defined package,” says Torben Ballegaard Sørensen, CEO of Bang & Olufsen. “Considering the listening and viewing enjoyment, as well as the ease of interaction and integration our products offer the user, Bang & Olufsen ought to be the preferred onboard entertainment solution for quality conscious luxury yacht owners and installers.”

‘Perfect Harmony,’ (the name a coy play on words, thanks to the ‘perfect harmonies’ that will be coming out of the Bang & Olufsen sound system) is outfitted entirely with B&O products, such as four BeoVision 6-22’s, LCD 16:9 television sets, and BeoLab 4000 Active Loudspeakers. The list goes on, as the boat has a 300 mm masterlink cable, a 200 m powerlink cable, a 20 meter infra-red cable, two BeoVision 5’s, five BeoCenter 2’s, a BeoVision 4-42, a BeoLab Sound 9000, a BeoLab 2, a DVD1, a BeoCord 8000, four BeoLab 3’s, and twenty different BeoCom telephones, all from Bang & Olufsen. This makes for the ultimate media and entertainment experience onboard the Perfect Harmony.

With the introduction of this beautiful yacht to the waters, Bang & Olufsen marks a transition into a new market, as they will continue to move forward and establish ties with yacht installers worldwide.
